Click the for Our Clients button to the left and scroll down for the Show Information link. You will find a page with details for the upcoming 2013 Alabama All Arabian Horse Show. For this show and upcoming events, we will post information about the show, which horses are showing, show classes and special show events. Also, important things like where to sleep and eat will be linked from each show page.

As more information becomes available, show pages will be updated. A page for The Egyptian Event as well as more on the Alabama show will be coming soon. Check back often for updates!

New Arrivals while we were at the Egyptian Event!  Three spectacular gifts.

Un-Named 2012 Colt

This stunning young colt is the first grand get by the 2004 Egyptian Event Jr. Champion Colt, SoVeign. As you may recall we lost SoVeign on May 13, 2006 to a tragic accident in which he broke his femur while in his stall at a training facility. At the time of SoVeign’s passing he had 6 mares in foal, 4 of which produced fillies. So LaVie is the first of his daughters to give birth and if this is any indication of the quality they’ll produce, we couldn’t be more excited!

If you intend to let you mare foal out at home, here are some of the things you should keep handy in a foaling kit.  In this episode Heather and Bethany review some of the important things and why they are needed.  Tune in daily for updates as they get through the entire list.

Her first adventure out of her stall, Malawi’s foal found that the world as she knew it was a lot bigger!  The opportunity to run was new, fun, but scary!!!  We’ll do another update on her in a few days to see how she has progressed with her new-found legs!!!

In case any of you have been worried about Layla, the filly who lost her mother at 4 weeks of age and who has been having a tough time finding a friend to hang out with, I thought we’d share with you how she is getting along with her latest buddy, Maxine or Misty Ruth, it depends upon whom you ask.  Today we reunite Layla with her previous buddies that didn’t work out.  We’ll see how things have developed.

A new baby arrives in Paradise (albeit in a rather unconventional way)!  I guess the mare, Malawi PG, decided it might be easier to have the baby standing up.  Maybe the straw wasn’t comfortable enough for her.  Watch how Heather Harness never loses her cool through the process.  What a great job she did!!!  And also notice how this “crazy” Arabian mare deals with the humans in her space, messin’ with her baby!!!!  Just another day in “Paradise”!

On this day we hosted an “Open Barn Day” and allowed visitors to experience “Paradise” and all that it entails.  Folks were free to tour the barn, the pastures, the trails…nothing was off limits.  It just so happened that a new foal came into the world at 4AM so several of the visitors got to experience something that few have had the opportunity to do, feed a brand new colt.  On this day we had local visitors and from as far away as Saudi Arabia and South Africa!  Of course, we seized the opportunity so show off some of our show horses and even a couple mares with their babies by their side.  It was a special day.  I wish you could have experienced it with us but in this footage you’ll be able to get a taste of some of the things you missed.  We welcome YOUR next visit.
