Paradise Arabians Egyptian Arabian stallion Scapa

Paradise Arabians congratulates the winning bidders of the 2009 Egyptian Event’s Egyptian Breeders Challenge (EBC) Auction. Paradise stallions The Singleton and Scapa are EBC-nominated sires, making the buyers of their breedings eligible to enter the resulting foals in a cash prize class at the 2012 Egyptian Event.

Missy and Scott Head successfully won The Singleton’s breeding, and Jerel and Daphne Kerby purchased Scapa’s! We look forward to seeing what these successful breeders produce when their special mares are bred to our stallions in 2010!

The Singleton and Scapa’s first EBC babies will compete as yearlings at the 2010 Egyptian Event next June! Until then, check out some of the beautiful foals they’ve produced:

Congratulations to Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri on the purchase of two of Paradise’s straight Egyptian Arabian jewels: 2004 Egyptian Event Supreme Champion Mare and US Nationals Top Ten Mare BJ Thee Arabella (Thee Desperado x Lily Langtry HG), and the exotic black yearling filly Jameelah Al Hawajer (Alixir x Thee Midnight Angel). These beautiful girls will be headed for Sharjah, UAE soon! BJ Thee Arabella is in foal to Paradise stallion Scapa for a 2010 foal, his first to be born in the Middle East!

Gary Kenworthy shares:

It was a great show.  Biggest Class A show I have ever attended…over 150 horses and many of those were straight Egyptian!  Some highlights:

• 2 and 3 year-old Mares Class: Champion was Ceinwen with 113 points, shown by Misty Kenworthy.  Second was Rakassah Anikah WEA with 112 points, shown by Matt Kenworthy.  4th place was Alia Kharismah with 111 points shown by myself.  So, the first 4 places were separated by 2 points!  Following close behind in 5th place was MGM Grande MVA who was shown in the open class by amateur Danny Heithold.

• Yearling Filly Class: Reserve Champion was Candela Rose, with Matt at the lead, Misty was 3rd with Ayloul Al Shama, and I went 4th with Marah Nabila.  They went 109, 106 and 103 respectively!  Again, very tight spread.

• Amateur Mare Class: Champion was Ceinwen with owner Valerie Clinkenbeard, Reserve Champion was MGM Grande MVA with owner Danny Heithold! The other two contestants were 27 and 15 points behind respectively.

• Amateur Yearling Fillies:  Champion was Candela Rose with Danny Heithold and Reserve Champion was Ayloul Al Shama with September Boll.

• Stallions 4 Years & Older: Thee Integrity was Reserve Champion!

Everything was great about show except the weather.  Thunderstorms and several tornado warnings, heavy rain and very high winds were the only thing that could dampen our spirits in any way.  It was a great time for everybody that attended!

Many of these young horses are building on strong performances in last year’s Egyptian Event and are heading for the 2009 Egyptian Event in June! Join us in Lexington for this celebration of the Egyptian Arabian horse!

For the second year in a row, Egyptian Arabian gelding Thee MaCade (Thee Desperado x *Masira), who was obtained from Paradise Arabians, captured the championship at the AHA Region 12 50 Mile Endurance Race! He also won both the AERC and AHA Best Condition Awards and earned the highest vet score of the race.

In only his 4th year of endurance competition, the bay Egyptian Arabian gelding is exceeding all expectations of his owners Dr. Matthew and Wendy Roberts, and his trainer Susan Thompson. Thee MaCade is scheduled to compete in the Biltmore Challenge, Pyramid Challenge and AHA National Championship races in 2009.

Paradise’s Australian export stallion Al Kha-Zar (Thee Asil x Infidels Princess), purchased and owned by Fairview Arabian Stud in Australia, is now the sire of a Reserve Champion!

His very first foal, the straight Egyptian filly Fairview Nile Princess (out of Coolong Park Haanica), was just named Reserve Champion Yearling Filly at the 2009 East Coast Arabian Championships in Queensland, Australia!

Congratulations to owners and longtime Arabian breeders Peter and Vivienne Hall of Fairview Arabian Stud! What a wonderful start to Al Kha-Zar’s career as a sire.

For the second year, Paradise Arabians and its clients will participate in the international Arabian Breeders World Cup in Las Vegas! April 16th thru 20th, Paradise will show two standout foals of our stunning senior stallion The Singleton: Neo de Bloodstone (The Singleton x MB Pirouette), owned by Christopher Clinkenbeard, and Nadirah Al Jameelah (The Singleton x SA Shuhira), owned by Matt, Misty, Wanda & Gary Kenworthy. These gorgeous Egyptian Arabians have been training in Scottsdale, AZ for several months and have created a stir with their beauty.
