SCAPA WINS TOP 5 IN LAS VEGAS!
April 15th, 2008
On Saturday, April 19th, our beautiful straight Egyptian Arabian sire Scapa (left) made an outstanding debut in an open Arabian show! Competing in the international Arabian Breeders World Cup against Arabians of all bloodlines, Scapa was the ONLY Egyptian Arabian in the Top 5 honors. He earned the ONLY perfect score of 20 given out in his 3-Year-Old Junior Stallions Class, and he earned it for his overall Type. 2 of the judges placed him first on their scorecards, and he was the only horse in his class to accomplish that placement! He also scored several high scores of 19 and 19.5s. In addition, his scores for both Type and Movement were higher overall than the horse who won the entire class! Shown to his ribbon by well-known halter trainer Greg Knowles of Arabian Expressions in Scottsdale, Arizona, Scapa now returns home to celebrate his victory and to stand at stud in Paradise.
At the beginning of June, Scapa will make the trip to Lexington, along with the rest of the Paradise show string, to compete at the 2008 Egyptian Event!

Another gorgeous 3-Year-Old grey made a national debut under the Paradise banner, this time in the Mares class. Bint Al Riyahh (left) (Thee Asil x Emperial Sparkle), owned by Marion and Scott Head, showed beautifully and came in 6th in an extremely competitive class of 22 of the finest Arabian mares from around the world. She’ll also be showing at the 2008 Egyptian Event and next year will be bred to Scapa for her first foal! We can’t wait to see what the cross of these 2 champions brings!
